Make tithing easier! Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) allows parishioners to deposit their contributions directly into the parish bank account.
Why sign up for Electronic Giving?
There are many reasons!
- The great thing about electronic funds transfer is you can set it up one time, and all future payments are set automatically. Payments will be withdrawn directly from your account on the same day of every month. No more handling cash, writing out paper checks, or stuffing envelopes. Just use your routing and account numbers from your checking or savings account.
- Electronic Giving (EFT) allows the parish to have a more reliable revenue stream. Currently, when people miss Mass due to weather, vacations, etc., a critical drop in offertory donations occurs. Regardless of whether you come to Mass, the parish relies on your support to meet its financial obligations. To be financially viable, our parish needs approximately $15,000 in offertory donations each month. This kind of revenue variation, which often happens in the summer and inclement weather, creates many challenges as we try to pay our bills and plan responsibly for the future.
- The process of signing up for Electronic Giving (EFT) gives people the opportunity to look at how they support their parish. We know times are very difficult for many families. Please take a serious look at how you give to your church. Is the support of your parish a budgetary item in your household? In today’s world, it is easy to forget that the gifts and talents we use to earn our living and fund our lifestyle are not ours alone, but unearned gifts of our generous God. By virtue of our Baptism, God expects us to share our time, talent, and treasure to help build the Kingdom of God here on Earth. This is an essential part of who we are as Catholics. It is not just an afterthought. Even if you don’t sign up for electronic giving, please look at how else you support your parish.
- It’s easy, convenient, and the parish staff is available to help if needed.
